The BIG Harbour Community Pot
Shoreham Port Authority, Brighton & Hove City Council, Adur District Council and West Sussex County Council have allocated £20,000 to be spent in the Shoreham Harbour regeneration area.
The money is available for charities, community groups, community interest companies and resident associations to apply for, to help fund projects that will improve the environment of the regeneration area.
Individual residents who have their own proposals for improvements can also submit an application.
There will be a number of opportunities for the local community to get involved in shaping the plans for the Harbour area. The main ways you can get involved are as follows:

Consultants BDP have been appointed by the Shoreham Harbour Project Board to prepare Streetscape Guidance for the Regeneration Area. The Guidance will be used to determine what public realm character, finishes and elements are to be applied where, to ensure a high quality and cohesive design approach for the Shoreham Harbour area. The finished document will be used by the councils to guide all developments coming forward in the Harbour area and to assist with decision-making to guarantee clarity, consistency, value for money and that a high quality, robust public realm is implemented.
BDP were out and about around the harbour on the 12th of November 2011 and gathered lots of useful comments and ideas to inform the guidance. To view the consultation exhibition boards and to download the survey form click here:
